We are excited to announce that Cornell Assistive Technologies had the amazing opportunity to participate in the Splash! at Cornell a few weeks ago! This unique program brought together a passionate group of middle and high school students from the Ithaca City School District eager to explore their interests and deepen their knowledge in various fields.

These young Ithacans rewired their first toy using what they learned from our team!
Our enthusiastic Project Outreach and Engagement (POE) team led the students on an engaging journey into the world of assistive technology. The day began with a hands-on workshop where students learned the basics of soldering, gaining valuable experience in circuit building. Armed with this new skill, the participants then modified circuits in real toys, blending creativity with technical expertise to bring their projects to life.
This event was not only an opportunity for Cornell Assistive Technologies to share its expertise, but also a chance to see the spark of curiosity and excitement in the students. It was truly rewarding to witness their joy and sense of achievement as they developed new skills and explored the potential of assistive technology. We look forward to participating in more Splash! and community engagement events in the future. Stay tuned for more updates!
